The Engagement

Collins Tech built Kahwa Coffee’s original storefront. The current engagement is the second chapter of that relationship: a ground-up theme rebuild against the existing catalog, with the design system reconstructed to hold across every template rather than patched page by page. Building the first version means the rebuild starts from knowledge of every decision behind it — what the catalog structure was built to do, and where years of growth outpaced it.

Alongside the build we delivered a comprehensive WCAG accessibility audit of the live storefront, documenting conformance failures at the component level with the remediation path for each. For a retail brand, accessibility is both a legal exposure and a machine-readability question: the same structural clarity that makes a page usable with a screen reader makes it parseable by the systems now recommending businesses.
